We are in 1986 in the former Soviet Union, the current Northern Ukraine in the Pryp’at’ area, more precisely inside the Chernobyl nuclear power station. Operating since 1970, the station has done its job supplying energy to the whole area and employing thousands of people. On the night between April 25 and 26 1986 at 01:23 am, during a test on reactor 4, something happens that turns out to be fatal. The security system registers a problem of the cooling plant and the reactor temperature starts to rise without control. The failure seems to be irreversible or at least, it cannot be repaired in time for the disaster to be avoided. The alarm is given and an immediate evacuation of the entire station is ordered. Many people are able to escape, but after a few minutes, the first explosion occurs and the security system gets activated, automatically sealing all the exits to prevent the dispersion of radiation. The worst thing is that you haven’t managed to save yourselves and you have remained trapped into one of the containment chambers. You have 60 minutes left before your exposure to radiation becomes too high to ensure your certain death.
